Height channels above the front speakers
44DA is a Dolby Atmos-enabled speaker for adding height information to a compatible home theater. Its upward-facing design uses the ceiling as part of the sound path.
It requires the appropriate height-channel connections and setup in the receiver. Ceiling shape, surface, and speaker placement matter, so check the installation guidance before choosing this approach to Atmos.
